Trade Show 01
Concept · 3D Visualisation · Execution · Display Strategy
This project was developed as a trade show showcase for multiple footwear brands including US Polo Assn., Arrow, Aeropostale and Flying Machine, with the objective of presenting their collections in a clear, brand-aligned, and commercially effective manner.
I was responsible for the concept development, 3D rendering, and on-ground execution, translating each brand's identity into a physical display system that supported easy viewing, handling, and evaluation of the footwear.
Design Intent
The intent was to move away from generic shoe walls and instead create structured yet visually distinctive display environments that allowed the footwear to remain the primary focus. The space was designed to feel engaging without becoming decorative, ensuring the product was easy to read within a trade show context.
Footwear Display Strategy
- Designed brand-specific display formats that reflected each label's visual language
- Planned shelf spacing, alignment, and repetition to improve clarity and comparability
- Created strong visual hierarchies so key styles naturally stood out
- Ensured displays encouraged interaction, allowing visitors to pick up and closely examine the footwear
- Maintained consistency across the showcase while allowing each brand to retain a distinct presence
Spatial & Visual Language
- Used architectural elements and material contrasts to subtly zone different brand areas
- Kept colour palettes and textures controlled so attention remained on the footwear
- Balanced open negative space with structured repetition to avoid visual clutter
Execution
I oversaw the translation of the 3D designs into the final built installation, managing:
- Materials, finishes, and detailing
- Scale and proportions during fabrication and setup
- On-site alignment to ensure the executed space matched the original design intent
The final showcase functioned as a clear, brand-led trade presentation, enabling effective footwear showcasing while maintaining visual coherence across the exhibition space.
