Retail Visual Merchandising Systems & Store Display
I developed Zivame's retail visual merchandising framework during the early phase of its physical expansion, scaling across 35+ stores. As the brand grew, I shaped the visual language, in-store display systems, and operational standards that were implemented nationwide across 80+ stores.
Visual strategy
- Designed the retail brand VM guidelines
- Defined category zoning and merchandise hierarchy
- Built colour blocking systems to simplify navigation and reduce visual clutter
- Structured wall layouts using size sequencing and logical progression
- Created balance and focal points within store interiors
Store display & execution
- Designed merchandise display systems across walls and floor fixtures
- Developed detailed planograms for consistent rollouts
- Selected mannequins, fixtures, pouffes, and retail props aligned with brand identity
- Ensured product alignment, stacking, spacing, and replenishment standards
Operations & standardisation
- Led new store VM setups
- Conducted store audits to maintain display quality
- Developed reporting formats and photography standards
- Coordinated with vendors for fixtures and display elements
Outcome
- Established a cohesive retail identity for Zivame
- Created scalable VM systems that supported rapid store growth
- Improved in-store navigation and customer comfort
- Built a strong foundation for future store expansions
